Dark Horse, Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainments team up to allow readers to explore the creation of Kratos' upcoming journey. In 2018 the comic-book publisher will release two collectibles,
The Art of God of War (plus a limited edition) and
God of War comics.
The Art of God of War spotlights Kratos and Atreus' odyssey into Midgard and beyond. The art book includes some gorgeous art, but also interviews that will give the readers an in-depth-look look at the creation of the next part of Kratos' road to redemption. The limited edition offers two gallery-quality lithographs and has a leather-like realistic cover "
with bright silver foil and red gilded pages".
The comic book is written by
iZombie creator Chris Roberson and illustrated by Tony Parker
(The Damned Band). The comics will tell a story of Kratos, who's learning how to control his inner rage and tries to understand his role as a father when facing mystical and deadly Norse creatures.
The Art of God of War goes on sale in early 2018 when the game ships, and is available for preorder on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic shop.
