We had a feeling that God of War was special and that it was guaranteed to become one of the year's finest games. However, hardly anyone anticipated the level of incredible craftsmanship the developers put into the game.

The glowing reviews we've seen are typically reserved for the likes of new Mario, Zelda or Naughty Dog games. This positive reception by both fans and critics ensures that Creative Director Cory Barlog will be regarded in the same esteem as contemporaries such as Hideo Kojima and Neil Druckmann.  

In the video below, watch as Cory gets emotional when he sees the game's Metacritic score for the first time.
