AI Improvements Coming To MLB '09

We just got our hands on details regarding some of the improvements coming to the PS3 exclusive MBL '09. This year, it's all about realism!

So what do you have to look forward to in this year's installment of the MLB franchise on PS3? Right now, it looks like the focus of MLB '09 is making the game more real-to-life.

Some of the AI improvements include:

Outfielders now take more realistic routes to the ball.

Infield will be more true-to-life, and players will react more realistically to infield plays.

The pitcheer/batter showdown will include some improvements as well. Great pitchers will have an advantage over sub-par batters, and great hitters will have an advantage over lower-end pitchers.

Here's a short video that they posted on the Playstation Blog. Not only does it give us a little insight into the changes they're making, it also gives us some nice gameplay footage!
