It's been reported that Batman: Arkham VR will only last for an hour or so, but based on new comments from Rocksteady marketing producer Dax Ginn in an interview with PressStart, it sounds like the experience will be a little longer than that. It's still going to be fairly brief though as they look to tell a "highly focused" murder mystery story which will put players beneath the Dark Knight's cowl.
"The core narrative is about 60 minutes in duration," Ginn reveals, "however additional content is unlocked that provides about another 90 minutes of gameplay on top of that." That's not too bad, especially as it won't be sold for the same price as a full-length PlayStation 4 title. It's also never been billed as being as large as any of the previous Batman: Arkham games in fairness to Rocksteady.
Ginn added that the sheer level of detail included will provide, "plenty of reasons to play through the game multiple times in order to see everything that we have put into it." We'll find out whether or not that's the case when Batman: Arkham VR launches alongside PlayStation VR later this month.
