The first (and seemingly last for the time being) Devil May Cry V expansion is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC all around the globe, giving players a unique chance to put their stylish fighting skills to the test in the titular Bloody Palace. The DLC is completely free on all platforms, pitting you against hordes of increasingly difficult enemies and bosses whilst racing against the ticking timer.

In this game mode, you can place as Dante, Nero, or V, which means that a certain character from DMCV (whose true name shall not be spoiled here) won't be playable in the critically acclaimed slasher title just yet. While it's a shame that Capcom still hasn't given us the opportunity to play as this mysterious person, the fact that DMCV's three main protagonists use completely different weapons and special abilities suggests that it will be more than enough to cause mayhem in the Bloody Palace.

The Bloody Palace mode debuted in DMC2 back in 2003 and has been an important part of the series’ identity ever since. Be sure to take a closer look at all 101 floors of DMCV's Bloody Palace down below:

A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.
