Devil May Cry 5 will not be coming out until March of next year, but Capcom has done a great job promoting the game after what seemed to be a never-ending hiatus since the last game in the series was released back in 2008.
The game will continue where the series left off after the events of
Devil May Cry 4, bring back Nero as a playable character, and Dante son of Sparta as one the main protagonists.
Devil May Cry 5 is also introducing Nico as a brand-new supporting character, who will be in charge of developing new arm prosthetichs—also known as Devil Breakers—for Nero.
Today, the official
Devil May Cry YouTube channel has shared a video that features long-time
Devil May Cry Director Hideaki Itsuno, Capcom Community Manage Matt Edwards, and Capcom Producer Matt Walker, as they play through one hour of
Devil May Cry 5 and showcase Dante of Sparda; showing off some of the combos, sharing some interesting details about the game, and simply having a lot of fun with it.
Take a look:
A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.
Devil May Cry 5 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 8th of March in 2019.
