Follow-up to the acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn game that released for the PlayStation 4 back in 2017 (and later came to PC), Horizon Forbidden West is an action-adventure role-playing game developed by Guerilla Games that's set in a post-apocalyptic, open-world United States. The sequel is set to release for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 18th, 2022.

Last night, The Game Awards 2021 event took place and features many an exciting trailer and announcement, including an open-world action-adventure Wonder Woman video game, a new Star Wars game with a branching narrative developed by Quantic Dream, and the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie — to name a few.

One of the many gameplay trailers shown off during the ceremony was for the Horizon Zero Dawn sequelThis new trailer shows off some thrilling, new action and fierce robotic animals that the player as Aloy will have to contend with, as well as some fancy cosmetics for the protagonist. That's not to mention the visuals themselves, some of the best consoles have ever bestowed.
