The creation of Psychonauts 2 is moving along smoothly and has gotten a massive advancement in the form of a new publisher. Starbreeze is set to invest $8 million into the upcoming sequel to the game and will receive 85% of the revenue Psychonauts 2 will make as a way to replenish the 8 million, and then will have a flat 60% steadily going into their pocket. While Starbreeze is the publisher, Double Fine Productions will still maintain the rights to the second installment.
The other Psychonauts project currently being worked on is a small scale virtual reality game titled Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Time, which will come out on February 21st on PlayStation VR. But Psychonauts 2 does not have a release date at this time.
