We have known for quite a while now, that Square Enix has taken some liberties in the development of the highly anticipated
Final Fantasy VII Remake; with the biggest one being the fact that the soon-to-be-released title is only the first of a trilogy.
Combat is also one thing that the developers have decided to update in
Final Fantasy VII Remake, by opting for a slightly more action-based combat style instead of the traditional turn-based combat most classic titles in the
Final Fantasy series were known for.
It has also been revealed that the developers have added a brand-new ability to Aerith; one that isn't actually related to her Limit attack, but an ability exclusive to her. This new ability is called Tempest, and it allows Aerith to damage more than one enemy from a distance.
Recently, Square Enix has released some new in-game screenshots that show off Aerith making use of Tempest, so be sure to check it out down below and let us know what you think about this new ability of hers.
Take a look:
In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?
Final Fantasy VII Remake will become available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 3rd of March in 2020.
