Amazon recently revealed which video games sold the most copies over the holiday season, but the retailer has now revealed which companies and titles came out on top across the whole of 2016. Just like they did in 2015, Sony dominated thanks, this time, to its PlayStation 4 Slim Uncharted 4 bundle. The Call of Duty: Black Ops III bundle wasn't too far behind, and the PlayStation Pro took third place!

As for the top twenty selling games, it was the Pokemon franchise which stole the show by taking the top two spots, but the PS4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief's End wasn't actually too far behind them!

  • Pokémon Sun (3DS)
  • Pokémon Moon (3DS)
  • Final Fantasy XV (PS4)
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4)
  • Madden NFL 17 (Xbox One)
  • Madden NFL 17 (PS4)
  • Skyrim: Special Edition (PS4)
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition (PS4)
  • FIFA 17 (PS4)
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division (PS4)
  • Battlefield 1 (Xbox One)
  • Skyrim: Special Edition (Xbox One)
  • Battlefield 1 (PS4)
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition (Xbox One)
  • Grand Theft Auto V (PS4)
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division (Xbox One)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)
  • Overwatch (PlayStation 4)
  • Doom (PlayStation 4)
In terms of accessories, it was once again Sony that came out on top with $20 gift cards for the PlayStation Store proving to be particularly popular. Which, if any, of these items, did you guys purchase in 2016? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section.
