Sega has re-released the announcement trailer for
Judgment, Ryū ga Gotoku's newest intellectual property, following the
arrest of voice actor Pierre Taki. All of the videos, and media in general, that featured Taki's appearance and work voicing
Judgment fictional character, Kyohei Hamura, were removed by Sega when Taki was found guilty of drug abuse.
Taki's arrest also led to
Sega halting digital sales and shipments for Judgment in Japan, although they did mention that the release date in the West would not be changed. Judgment, at the time of Taki's arrest, had already been out for a couple of months in Japan — which is why they put on hold sales until they figured out what to do.
The new announcement trailer for
Judgment was re-released today, and Kyohei Hamura is no longer played by Pierre Taki, as the actor has been replaced by another actor. Just like Sega announced last week, the release date for the Western release of
Judgment has not been pushed back, and the game will finally launch for the PlayStation 4 on the
25th of June.
