We knew this was only a matter of time, but spoilers that give away plot points in Hideo Kojima's highly anticipated Death Stranding have already begun leaking online; players who have been anticipating the game better stay off social media until the game releases.

The information comes from various sources, but thanks to Reddit user u/OPG609, we also now know that Sony is currently locking out players who got the game early as review copies.

According to the user, the information was posted on Twitter, although the tweet has since been deleted; showing that the player had the game locked out after 50 hours of gameplay; even when the reviewer didn't leak spoilers of the game online.

Just last week, Death Stranding actor Tommy Earl Jenkins — who plays Die-Hardman in the game — encouraged players to stay off the internet in order to avoid spoilers. The review embargo for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is lifted on the 1st of November, which is exactly one week prior to its official worldwide release.

Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.

Death Stranding will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 8th of November.
