The business also introduced a virtual pet mini-game on its website that lets users care for Toriko.
The game will be released on February 28 in North America and March 3 in Europe and Oceania for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
The game, which was released in Japan in June 2022 for the PS4 and Switch, is a follow-up to Nippon Ichi Software's void tRrLM(); /Void Terrarium (void tRrLM(); /void teRraLiuM). According to NIS America, the game is:
Immerse yourself in a dystopian world contaminated with toxic fungi, where a robot watches over the last surviving human. Nippon Ichi Software presents the second installment in the Void Terrarium series which follows the aftermath of the defeated cloudAI's plot to resurrect humanity.
Robbie the robot and his human friend, Toriko, have been able to live peacefully until she fell ill to a deadly new disease. In order to save her, Robbie must venture into the past and search the remnants of cloudAI's memories to find clues about this mysterious illness in order to ensure the survival of the world's last human.
The game will be available in a deluxe edition from NIS America that comes with a soundtrack, acrylic standee, art card, and collector's box.
In January 2020, the original void tRrLM(); /Void Terrarium (void tRrLM(); /void teRraLiuM) game was released in Japan for the PS4 and Switch. In July 2020, NIS America launched the game in North America, Europe, and Oceania on PS4 and Switch.
The main characters of the roguelike game, which takes place in a destroyed planet, are Toriko, the sole remaining human girl, and her robot companion. Playing as the robot aide, players explore areas of the outside world that Toriko is unable to access. Dungeons that are generated procedurally are entered by players to collect items and aid Toriko.
The game's director and character designer was Masayuki Furuya, who also directed the video game htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. The soundtrack was created by Hajime Sugie.
An improved version of the PS5 game void tRrLM();++ /Void Terrarium++ was released in Japan in February 2021 and in the West in May 2021.
