The producers and writers of
The Simpsons have been announced as attendees of Geoff Keighley's E3 Coliseum panel this year (via
the event's official Twitter). This has naturally led to speculation that a brand new video-game based on the popular animated series will be announced at the event.
If you're unafmiliar with E3 Coliseum, it's basically a panel show hosted by Geoff Keighley which runs alongside the actual E3 event. It usually features interviews, with those involved with the games on show at E3, as well as gameplay demonstrations.
There haven't been any announcements or even rumours about a new video-game based on
The Simpsons. EA holds the rights to any video-games based on
The Simpsons, therefore the announcement of a new
Simpsons game would take place during EA Play. E3 as a whole will take place in Los Angeles and run from June 11th to the the 13th.
The latest video-game based on the show was a mobile game by the name of
Tapped Out which released in 2012. While some are getting their expectations up extremely high and expecting a remastered version of
The Simpsons: Hit and Run to be announced, there's a chance it may just be a mobile game (or that a new video-game won't be announced at all).
