Netflix recently announced that Carmen Sandiego will return to the small-screen on January 19th, 2019 - as well as unveiled a fittingly mysterious teaser poster. We've now gotten a better look at the animated show itself.

Gina Rodriguez (Jane The Virgin) will star in the series as the titular adventuring thief. The character debuted back in the 1980s as the focus of a video-game series in which the player is tasked with finding her. The game's also spawned a cartoon series by the name of: Where in The World Is Carmen Sandiego - which aired throughout the 90s.

Entertainment Weekly were provided the first look at the 20-episode series in the form of some stills - you can check those out below:

What do you think of the stills? Are you looking forward to Netflix's Carmen Sandiego animated series?
