The Witcher began as a best-selling fantasy book series by Andrzej Sapkowski but was popularised by CD Projekt Red and their series of acclaimed video game adaptations. Speaking of adaptations of
The Witcher, Netflix's live-action series will be available to stream on Netflix within a month's time — on December 20th, specifically.
Henry Cavill (
Mission: Impossible — Fallout) stars as the titular character, Anya Chalotra (
Wanderlust) plays Yennefer, and Freya Allan (
Into the Badlands) plays Ciri — while Lauren S. Hissrich serves as showrunner. Despite there still being over a two weeks until the show's debut, some lucky folks have been able to check it out early.
These early reactions claim that Hissrich has done a masterful job and that the cast have also done a brilliant job — notably, Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
