Closing out Microsoft's X019 event today, Square Enix announced a plethora of titles from its biggest franchises will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming months.
Just about every mainline Final Fantasy game released in the series since 1997's
Final Fantasy VII will be coming, including spinoff games like
Final Fantasy X-2 and
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, will be made available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The list of Final Fantasy games coming to the service is as follows:

Noticably missing from the list are
Final Fantasy's two MMOs, but Xbox head Phil Spencer said there are plans to bring
Final Fantasy XIV to Xbox Game Pass at a later date.
Another surprising collection from Square Enix coming to Xbox Game Pass is
Kingdom Hearts. Both
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX and
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue are coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2020. These two games combined feature all of the previously released games in the series, either as playable remasters/remakes or as cinematic movies. It also marks the first time these games will be made available on an Xbox platform as
Kingdom Hearts 3 -- the final chapter in the Dark Seeker Saga -- was the only game in the series to be released on an Xbox console. If you were holding off on
Kingdom Hearts 3 because you hadn't played the previous games in the series, you'll soon get the chance.
