Xbox Game Pass is a special subscription service from Microsoft that allows Xbox One owners check out selected Xbox titles (available through backward-compatibility) and newer games like
Tom Clancy's The Division and
The Elder Scrolls Online. This year, Microsoft confirmed that all in-house Microsoft Studios titles will hit the service on launch day, including potential hits
Halo Infinite and
Gears 5.
All of that for $9.99 per month. According to Microsoft, Xbox Game Pass is a big success and this "Netflix for video games" initiative will be also available on PC! As reported by Windows Central, the company is discussing increasing its cross-platform presence with the Xbox brand and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has announced that there are ambitious plans to expand to PC in the future.
It would mean that PC players will finally have a chance to legally play Xbox classic titles like
Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Forza 3, and
Crackdown. Though no details were given on how this will make its way to PC, it’s pretty clear that Xbox Game Pass will be used in conjunction with the Microsoft Store. There's hope that it's just the first step on a longer path to revive struggling Windows 10 PC gaming.
With Xbox Game Pass you get unlimited access to play over 100 great Xbox One and Xbox 360 games and new Xbox games when they launch, all for one low monthly price.
