Kingdom Hearts 3 was the first game in the series to launch on an Xbox platform. But unless you played through the rest of the series on the various platforms the games were released on or purchased one of the compilation bundles on PlayStation, odds are you were probably lost when it came to the convoluted story.
Well now, more than a year after the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, Microsoft and Square Enix has given gamers a chance to play through the entire Dark Seeker Saga on Xbox One. As of last week,
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix and
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue are available on Xbox One. Combined with
Kingdom Hearts 3, which becomes available through Xbox Game Pass on February 25, this comprises the entire Dark Seeker Saga.
This is a total of 10 adventures that have spanned more than decade.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix includes
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix,
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories,
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (with HD remastered cinematics),
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix,
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (with HD remastered cinematics). It comes with 197 achievemetns worth 4,000 Gamerscore.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue sets the stage for Kingdom Hearts 3 by including
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD,
Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage, and the movie “
Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover.”
Once that's complete, you are ready to dive into
Kingdom Hearts 3 which was already released on Xbox One, but enters the Xbox Game Pass subscription library today. Arriving alongside it is the
Kingdom Hearts III ReMIND DLC for $29.99.
