The Xbox One Backward Compatibility library has grown by four new titles today. As of today, Xbox 360 titles
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Forza Horizon, Fable Anniversary, and
Crackdown are all playable on Xbox One now.
Furthermore, Microsoft has released a new graphics setting for enhanced Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One X. According to Microsoft,
"Xbox 360 games that are enhanced for Xbox One X run at a higher resolution and 9X the original pixel count on Xbox One X. The power of Xbox One X enables the Xbox 360 emulator to showcase the very best version of the game possible with the existing assets—all without touching the game code."
All four of today's additions are Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 games, joining the likes of
Halo 3, Skate 3, Gears of War 3, and more. The full list of Xbox 360 games that are in the Xbox One X Enhanced catalog are:
-
Assassin’s Creed
-
Crackdown
-
Fable Anniversary
-
Fallout 3
-
Forza Horizon
-
Gears of War 3
-
Halo 3
-
Mirror’s Edge
-
Oblivion
-
Skate 3
-
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Xbox One X owners have the choice of which settings to play on. Enhanced graphics are turned on by default, running your game with higher resolution, 9X the pixel count, and increased texure details and antialiasing. Turning off the Graphics setting will provide an experience comparable to that on Xbox One or Xbox One S.
With today's additions, the library of Xbox 360 games that are now playable on Xbox One grows to more than 460 titles, 11 of which are Xbox One X Enhanced, and 13 of which are Original Xbox games.
