We'll be getting our first official look at
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer gameplay later today. However, ahead of that, you can get your first look at an awesome special edition of the game that will be available.
The yet to be officially unveiled
"Dark Edition" of
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will include a set of night vision goggles that actually work. This version of the upcoming game was briefly made available back when
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was first revealed to the world a couple of months ago.
It was promptly taken down, but some were able to place their pre-orders and take note of its price. Unless Infinity Ward and Activision have altered it since then; the Dark Edition will cost around $200. That might seem like a lot, but when you see the goggles, you'll understand why it's priced as it is.
Infinity Ward has invited a bunch of online influencers to the upcoming, aforementioned multiplayer gameplay reveal — that's taking place later today. One of these individuals snapped some shots of the cumbersome bonus item. You can check out their tweet and photos below.
Night vision has remained a staple of the
Modern Warfare subseries since it began back in 2007. It's evidently set to return in the next
Call of Duty instalment and possibly be more prevalent than ever — what with there
reportedly being night and day versions of multiplayer maps.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
