Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be a reboot of the popular subseries of the same name. It's said that familiar faces will be making a return but only one has been confirmed thus far and that's Captain John Price. This iconic character featured heavily in the entirety of the previous incarnation of the
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game series.
The role of Captain Price won't be reprised by Billy Murray but instead played by a newcomer named Barry Sloane. He's a British actor known for television roles in such shows as
Six,
Revenge, and
Bluff City Law.
Activision and Infinity Ward have released a new behind-the-scenes video which sees narrative director Taylor Kurosaki and Sloane interview each other about bringing Captain Price back to life. The two discuss the casting process, wherein Sloane believed that he was auditioning for a character by the name of Commander Sykes, as well as the art of motion-capture and acting in general.
