A new trailer for
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's upcoming multiplayer beta weekends has been released along with schedule details and preload information for the various platforms. As previously announced, there will be two separate beta weekends, eaching running for five days.
The first multiplayer beta weekend runs from Thursday, September 12 through Monday, September 16. The first two days (Sept. 12-13) will be "early access" for players who have pre-ordered
Modern Warfare on PS4. The beta will then open to all PS4 owners from Sept. 14-16.
The second weekend will run from September 19-23 and will invite all platforms to participate. PS4 owners, and anyone who has pre-ordered the game on Xbox One or PC, will get first access again from Sept. 19-20. The open beta period will then run from September 21-23 and will be available for everyone on PS4, Xbox One or PC, regardless of pre-order status.
If you pre-ordered
Modern Warfare from a retailer, you may have already received a beta code. Once received, simply to to the digital storefront on your platform and enter the beta code to download the beta. If you've pre-ordered
Modern Warfare digitally, then a beta code is not needed as you are automatically ready to download the beta. Preloading on PS4 will roll out between 10-11 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, September 10.
The
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta will give players a taste of the suite of modes, including the 2v2 Gunfight mode and traditional 6v6 multiplayer.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to launch on October 25.
