The
Call of Duty franchise has gone without a substantial update for quite some time. Each year would see the release of a new instalment which would be practically identical to the last — especially in terms of its gameplay.
Thankfully, it appears that the next instalment is going to revamp the formula.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be the most realistic entry in the series to date, including such concepts as bullet-drop and mildly destructible environments. As far as we're aware, these changes will be applied to both the game's multiplayer and campaign modes.
We'll see how much the
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer gameplay has been renovated when footage of the mode premieres at the beginning of next month. The official Twitter account of the
Call of Duty franchise (
@CallofDuty) recently put out a tweet which announces that multiplayer gameplay will be streamed from their Twitch account on August 1st at 10am PT.
Additionally, this tweet brings with it a teaser for the coming livestream. This brief clip appears to include the beginning of a multiplayer match wherein players are transported to their spawn point via helicopter. You can check out the teaser for yourself below:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
