Finally, Infinity Ward has debuted some
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer gameplay footage. Though some of it was pretty overdramatised for the sake of the trailer — which you can
check out for yourself by clicking here — overall, it looks fantastic.
Along with the debut of multiplayer gameplay came the announcement of both Early Access and an Open Beta. You'll be able to participate in the former by pre-ordering. However, if you're not ready to put down your money on the upcoming first-person shooter yet; everyone will be able to take part in the Open Beta.
Both begin earliest on the PlayStation 4 platform — as per Activision and Sony's exclusivity arrangement. As you can see on the above chart (via
@CallofDuty); Early Access will begin on the 12th of September and go on for a day. However, the Open Beta portion will begin on the 14th and be live until the 16th. That's the first weekend and only available to PlayStation 4 users.
The second weekend will see the return of the Open Beta to the PlayStation 4 as well as see the introduction of Early Access to the Xbox One and PC. That'll be the 19th and 20th. Passed that, the Open Beta will be open to everyone on all platforms from September 21st to the 23rd.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th, 2019.
