Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was announced just a couple of days ago. The upcoming reboot of the fan-favourite subseries will be taking the series back to its roots, doing away with the Zombies and battle-royale modes (not to mention the season pass formula) in favour of a typical campaign, multiplayer, and co-operative mode setup.
Thus far, we've heard a lot of information about
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign mode, but not its multiplayer modes. The same remains true here as a new report by
Charlie INTEL seems to have revealed even more info about the campaign. Much like the former iteration of the
Modern Warfare series, the campaign will see the player assume multiple roles throughout.
According to the report, players will go beyond just the persective of Tier 1 Operators. During their time visiting Infinity Ward, the site was made privy to two campaign missions, one of which will see the player control a rebel fighter. On top of this,
Ars Technica recently stated in their report that almost half of the campaign will be played from the perspective of an Arab soldier.
This is an interesting way to change up the
Call of Duty formula, enabling players to view the warzone from the perspective of just about everybody it involves. Even the view of a child soldier, another perspective which was recently revealed in a report by Variety. You can find out more on that
here.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
