In light of yesterday's leaks, numerous reports have been published stating that the next instalment in the
Call of Duty series will be revealed within a week.
Yesterday, Kotaku's Jason Schreier revealed that 2019's
Call of Duty will
simply be titled "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare," be a soft
reboot of the series and inspired by, the most controversial moment of the franchise's history, the infamous
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 mission by the name of: No Russian.
Activision has previously stated that we'll officially hear about this year's
Call of Duty before the end of June. This led many to assume that it will be announced at next month's E3 event. However, many credible sites such as
Eurogamer have begun stating that
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be officially revealed on May 30th - that's five days from now and a couple of weeks from E3.
This matches previous rumours that were going around earlier this month. This should have been expected regardless as E3 has never been the venue of a new
Call of Duty game's announcement before. Also, if it were to have taken place there, it would've been at Sony's conference and they aren't attending this year's E3 event.
So be sure to check in here on May 30th to find out about
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
