Earlier today, Infinity Ward took to Twitch with a couple of influencers to debut multiplayer gameplay of
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (via
Dot Esports). Specifically, those taking part (Syndicate, CouRageJD, TeePee, and LEGIQN) were participating in a brand new multiplayer mode named: Gunfight.
It's a 2v2 scenario that takes place on a small map. You don't spawn with a gun in-hand and instead have to find equipment on the map. If you're taken out, you don't respawn until the next round. Health is low as it is but there's also no healing should you get shot. The maps that featured in the footage are named: King, Pine, and Stack. They're apparently tailored for the Gunfight mode.
As mentioned above, this is actually the first time we've gotten a look at multiplayer gameplay - or any gameplay for that matter. The player's movement appears to be much more wobbly than previous instalments and the visuals are stunning. It seems to be reminiscent of previous
Call of Duty instalments but a tad more realistic - which is exactly what we should be expecting from the upcoming instalment.
Below you can skim through TeePee and/or Syndicate's gameplay footage:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
