Ninja Theory, the developer responsible of the sleeper hit
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, controversial take on the
Devil May Cry series in
DMC, and two story-focused action-adventures games
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and
Heavenly Sword, officially joined the Microsoft family during this year's E3 when Executive Vice-President Of Gaming At Microsoft Phil Spencer announced the acquisition.
Spencer spilled the beans once again during last week's X018 presentation when he revealed that “
it’s really fun to not only see what Ninja Theory has done in the past, but to look forward to next year and things that might come.” The statement clearly suggests that Ninja Theory may announce their next big thing at some point next year, possibly during Xbox's E3 2019 media briefing.
The British studio's last game,
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, was initially released back on August 8th, 2017 on both, PC and PlayStation 4 before finally arriving on Xbox One this year. The title ultimately sold over one million copies around the world and it's not
Senua's last word, as the retail version will surely boost the sales and let Ninja Theory develop even more compelling and complex stories.
From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover. Created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will pull you deep into Senua’s mind.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
