The next generation of consoles is fast approaching, and that means that the console wars are about to reignite! For some time now, it has seemed that Sony's PS5 has had the edge with exclusives and upgrades at no cost; however, something is brewing in the world of Microsoft.

In a recent announcement that can be found on the Dolby official Twitter, the Xbox Series X and S will be the first-ever consoles to include both Dolby Vision and Atmos! Being that this has never been done before, this shows Microsoft's desire to innovate to compete rather than match their competition.

With the best sound and visual quality packed into the console, this no doubt will raise many questions such as how gaming will be affected or moreso how watching TV and film will be improved. According to Dolby, their Vision component will include additions such as "40x brighter highlights," "10x deeper black levels," and "up to 12-bit color depth"!

Has this tipped the scale in favor of the Xbox? Only time will tell! Make sure to share your thoughts in the comments, and don't forget to check out the official announcement below!
