For the longest time, Xbox players have been eagerly waiting for more official news about the Xbox Series X to be revealed. Microsoft has already shared a bunch of information in regards to the hardware itself, and even reveal some of the first and third-party titles that will be available at launch.
Microsoft has remained rather quiet in regards to the price of their next-gen console, however, although the company did reveal the price of the Xbox Series S; their low-end next-gen console. According to the official information, the low-end console will retail for $299 USD.
The price of the Xbox Seires S has led Xbox users to believe that the cost of the Xbox Series X would be somewhere around the $500 USD price tag, and they were actually quite on the money with that prediction, as the company has officially confirmed this information not an hour ago.
As officially revealed by Microsoft this morning, the long-awaited, and highly anticipated Xbox Series X will retail for $499 USD, and will be hitting store shelves on Tuesday the 10th of November, which is the same day the Xbox Series S will be launching; giving players the option to choose which console better suits their needs.
Microsoft has also revealed that pre-orders for the Xbox Series X will open this month — on Tuesday the 22nd of September, to be more precise — although they have yet to provide an official link for customers to place their orders.
Xbox Series X is expected to hit store shelves on Tuesday the 10th of November.
