During today's Indie World presentation — streamed earlier today and hosted by Nintendo — a bunch of independent developers took the opportunity to show off some of the projects they have been working on, and that are expected to release at some point this year.
Developer Dodge Roll and Publisher Devolver Digital took the opportunity to unveil Exit the Gungeon — which, as many people would already assume by the title, is a direct sequel to their popular roguelike shooter: Enter the Gungeon.
What's even more exciting is the fact that the Exit the Gungeon is actually becoming available today for the Nintendo Switch as a timed exclusive title. A PC version has also been confirmed by the developer, but we still don't know exactly when is it that this specific version will be releasing.
Devolver Digital released both a gameplay and animated trailer for Exit the Gungeon, so be sure to check both of them out and let us know what you think in the comments section down below.
Check it out:
Exit the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon climber immediately following the adventures of the misfit ‘Gungeoneers’ and their journey for personal absolution in Enter the Gungeon. The Gungeon has become a paradox and is collapsing! Armed with an ever-changing weapon, an insatiable need to loot, and the trusty dodge roll, each of our heroes must ascend and escape via their own unique route of increasingly perilous elevators. Battle against the last and most bitter of the Gundead at a frantic pace, slowing down just long enough to chat with some familiar faces… and a few new ones. Shifting rooms, enemies, bosses, bizarre weapons and items all combine to ensure that no two attempts to Exit the Gungeon are the same.
Exit the Gungeon is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
