Even when Nomada Studio's critically acclaimed GRIS was released in December of last year, the artsy 2D platformer didn't release in time to make a lot of media outlets' lists that praise developers and games for their merits.

Anyone who's had the chance to play GRIS will know that this game is a work of art, just as much as it is a proper, and full-fledged 2D platformer worthy of recognition; not to mention its amazing hand-drawn art style and phenomenal soundtrack.

Just yesterday, we reported that GRIS had already become Apple's Mac Game of the Year on the App Store, and today the game has also been chosen by Forbes as the Best Indie Game of 2019; getting, once again, a lot of praise for its beautifully realised art style and sound game design.

With The Game Awards just around the corner, Nomada Studios' GRIS is not done receiving recognition, and chances are that it will end up winning more than one award before th eend of the year, and even in years to come. Our hats are off to you, Nomada Studio.

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality.

GRIS is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, macOS, Microsoft Windows, and iOS.
