Shovel Knight is probably the most popular and successful video game created by an independent developer. The people over at Yacht Club Games have poured their heart and soul into making the game an amazing experience for fans of the platforming genre.
The Shovel Knight character himself has even managed to make appearances in other indie games as a playable character, and was even able to make his way into
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an assist trophy; something that made fans of the character brim with joy and the developers incredibly proud.
Today marks the 5th aniversary of Yacht Club Games'
Shovel Knight, and the developers have released a short clip from when they first launched their Kickstarter campaign. They've really come a long way since that clip, but it is nice to see how excited they were; not knowing how big
Shovel Knight would become.
