Fresh off the heels of releasing the Johto region's Mythical Pokemon, Celebi, through Special Researches which started on Monday, August 20th, Pokemon GO's Official Twitter page released a statement about the upcoming Field Research Task reward Pokemon in the form of the Fiery Legendary Beast, Entei.  Following through with the Johto region theme, this will be the second month featuring a Legendary Beast, as August featured the Lightning-type Raikou.

The in-game announcement which was taken from a screenshot by reddit user DarthPhenomenal, reveals the date and time of when trainers will be able to turn in their Field Research Tasks to get their chance at catching Entei as their reward after completing 7 days worth of tasks.  It will begin on September 1st, 2018 at 1 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).  In the post it also goes on to say that there will be special Fire-type Pokemon themed field research tasks for the month, the full details about said tasks will come after the start date.

Pokemon GO is a mobile free-to-play AR (Augmented Reality) game where players venture in the real world to catch various Pokemon in-game.  It also features raiding, where players team up to beat and hopefully capture a strong Pokemon and trading.  The game is available on compatible iOS and Android devices.
