WARCRAFT BD & DVD Release Date And Extras Announced

The live-action Warcraft film has revealed when it will hit blu-ray, DVD and VOD platforms along with what special features will be included with each purchase. Did you catch the film in theaters?

The live-action Warcraft movie from director Duncan Jones and starring Travis Fimmel, Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster and Paula Patton will arrive on VOD on September 13. Blu-ray and DVD copies go on sale September 27. Special features include:

With a Roten Tomatoes score of 29% and a Metacritics score of 32, the film didn't strike a chord with North American audiences. However, the film beat even the most favorable box office expectations in China. These results mirror the continuing decline of the number of World of Warcraft players in North America while the MMORPG remains as strong as ever in the Far East. To date, the film has grossed $433 million worldwide but only 10% of that figure is derived from North American totals.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, an unlikely set of heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their families, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in this epic 3D title in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
