YouTuber Andrew Levitt has decided to share his excitement for Grand Theft Auto VI by recreating the debut teaser trailer in real life. Levitt actually traveled to Miami, which serves as the inspiration for Rockstar's Vice City. Check out the video below.

He also provided a behind-the-scenes video that details how he recreated the footage from Rock Star's record-breaking trailer.

The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was supposed to be unveiled on December 05, 2024, but after low-res copies began to leak onto social media, Rockstar decided the best solution would be to just release the official trailer a day early. Despite the leaks, the GTA 6 trailer reportedly had the biggest YouTube debut of all-time.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has come a long way since the first installment in the series, Grand Theft Auto (1997), which was a 2D affair with players wreaking havoc across three fictional cities: Liberty City (based on New York), San Andreas (based on San Francisco), and Vice City (based on Miami).

GTA 6 arrives around 25 years after Rockstar's inception and a decade after the release of GTA 5. While Rockstar has remained tight-lipped on GTA 6, work is said to have begun in 2014.

Of course, Rockstar Games has dealt with a variety of work culture issues over the years, which may have contributed to the delayed release of Grand Theft Auto VI. The studio faced criticism for putting in "100-hour work weeks" to achieve the release date target for Red Dead Redemption 2. As a result, Dan Houser promised that no overtime would be needed for GTA VI.

The game is set to feature 2 protagonists, Jason and Lucia, a modern day homage to Bonnie and Clyde.  The trailer also seems to indicate that the game will feature BBLs and social media.

Rockstar Games is ordering most employees to return to the office on April 15, instead of working from home so that they can avoid further leaks while completing the game.

Grand Theft Auto has become one of the most influential and controversial video game franchises of all time, thanks to its blend of dark comedy, social satire, and over-the-top action. It will be intriguing to see where Rockstar takes the series next, but one thing is certain: it will be as bold and provocative as it has always been.

Stay tuned for further coverage as we anticipate getting official updates and a release date in the coming weeks and months.
