Grand Theft Auto: Online's most significant update perhaps ever is coming! "The Contract" takes place years after the singleplayer story mode of Grand Theft Auto V and will reintroduce the character of Franklin Clinton as well as, fan-favourite, Lamar Davis. That's not all though, this GTA Online story DLC will also feature none other than, well-known American rap artist, Dr. Dre.
Set to kick off on December 15th, this story update shows that Franklin has moved up in the world since the events of Grand Theft Auto V. Franklin now leads a "celebrity solutions agency catering to the Vinewood elite in need of solutions to high-society problems."
“Franklin needs two things: a reliable partner and a big-ticket, high-profile client. With your long time LS contact – and newly aspiring cannabis entrepreneur – Lamar Davis making the connection, you can be the partner that helps Franklin take the business to the next level." The synopsis continues: "On the other side of the city, DJ Pooh has been reaching out to Franklin about an exciting potential client: his close friend, Dr. Dre."
Grand Theft Auto: Online players will work alongside Franklin, Chop the Dog, and a new hacker character named Imani. Their mission: recover Dr. Dre's misplaced unreleased music to its rightful owner. This update will also introduce new vehicles and weapons including a Compact EMP Launcher and a new Stun Gun. Enus Jubilee and Dewbauchee Champion are the names of the new vehicles, you can check out an image of the latter below.
Additionally, a new property is up for grabs called "The Agency," which may or may not be Franklin's house. This update will also introduce exclusive tracks by Dr. Dre to an all-new in-game radio station.
