Though Rockstar's newest title Red Dead Redemption 2 is out and thriving, it hasn't stopped its incredibles predecessor from doing the same.
Take-Two recently revealed (via Variety), during an earnings call for the end of Q2 fiscal year 2019, that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold over 100 million units. This amount takes into account retail copies however Take Two didn't specify whether digital ones were also played a part - regardless, the amount is truly an astonishing feat.
It was reported, earlier this year, that GTA V had sold 95 million copies, therefore this announcement means that over 5 million copies have been sold in just the last couple of months - which is surprising given that the game initially released over five years ago.
The means that Grand Theft Auto V is the third game, ever, to sell over 100 million units, joining the ranks of Tetris and Minecraft.
What do you think of the amount of this milestone?
Grand Theft Auto V is out now on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
