Four years later, it seems Lindsey Lohan's bid to sue Take-Two Interactive over the use of her likeness in GTA V is finally over. Lohan first filed the lawsuit in 2014 but had the case dismissed in 2016. In February of this year, Lohan attempted to appeal the decision along with reality TV star Karen Gravano but the New York Court of Appeals similarly dismissed their claims. With the decision being handed down by NY's highest court, it seems the Take-Two can finally officially put the pesky legal proceedings behind them.
Judge Eugene Fahey acknowledged that the above image could very well be based on Lohan's likeness, GTA 5 simply depicted "a generic young woman" and made no overt allusions to Lohan.
Fahey wrote in her statement, "The amended complaint was properly dismissed because the artistic renderings are indistinct, satirical representations of the style, look, and persona of a modern, beach-going young woman that are not reasonably identifiable as plaintiff."
