May 9, 2018 is a date to remember. It's the day Walmart Canada accidentally leaked
Rage 2, Assassin's Creed (
Odyssey),
Lego DC Villains (properly titled
Lego DC Super-Villains) and new installments of the
Forza Horizon, Splinter Cell, and
Gears of War series.
Just Cause 4 also was one of the titles that were leaked and it looks like the online shop's explanation that "
The items posted were speculative in nature" was a lie, as Steam decided today to join Walmart and released a promo art for
Just Cause 4.
The Steam promo image popped onto the service earlier this evening, revealing the fourth entry in the series of sandbox explosion simulators, which is likely scheduled for an unveiling next week at E3 2018. Sadly, clicking for details doesn’t reveal any additional information or take you to the game’s store page, it just redirects to the Steam store’s front page. The image features
Just Cause's series main hero Rico Rodriguez overlooking a dark and stormy jungle scene, possibly setting the action in Amazonia.
Avalanche is a pretty busy developer lately.
Just Cause 4 would be one of three in-development projects at Avalanche Studios alongside
Rage 2 for Bethesda Softworks and co-op adventure in 1980's Sweden
Generation Zero, which Avalanche will self-publish in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
