Yesterday we found out that LEGO, Warner Bros. Games, and TT Games would be releasing a new gampelay video for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which would be revealed during today's Opening Night Live presentation at gamescom.
This new gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has just been released, giving us a look at some of the most memorable scenes from all of the 9 movies in the iconic Star Wars series created by George Lucas; all of them with the unique charm that only LEGO games knows how to deliver.
Unfortunately for some, this new trailer has also confirmed what had only been rumoured until today; that the game was being pushed back, and would no longer be releasing on the 20th of October, as initially expected to launch.
First the bad news. Yes, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been delayed and will now be releasing at a yet-to-be-determined date in Spring of 2021 — which, again, is rather disappointing. The good news, however, is that the game has also been confirmed to release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The game has been delayed probably has to do with the fact that the developers had to work on the next-gen version of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and they probably want all versions to release at the same time. Whatever the case, today's trailer is nothing short of amazing, so don't forget to give it a watch; it will likely lift your spirits after the rather disappointing news of the delay.
