The
Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War - Blade Of Galadriel story expansion turned out to be a mediocre and lazy DLC with the repetitive and boring battles despite some creative and colorful new uruks to fight. Monolith Productions is not giving up and will soon release the second story-driven DLC,
The Desolation of Mordor, that will offer a fresh campaign mode and a new protagonist, Baranor, a sergeant and the frontline commander of Gondor's last doomed stronghold in Mordor, Minas Ithil.
The DLC will also feature a plenty of side missions with dwarf hunter Torvin, new human mercenaries and bodyguards, and finally, arguably the most-anticipated addition, a brand new region of Mordor - The Desert of Lithlad. It is a great plain located to the south-east of Gorgoroth. Volcanoes enriched the area with large amount of ash, which has made the ground perfect for dry-land farming.
YouTube account lzuniy offers us a new look at the upcoming mini-campaign. It looks like the devs still don't care too much about the already established lore of Tolkien's universe (according to Monolith, Shelob is a human woman and it's not the only time
Shadow of War changed the
Lord of the Rings canon), but the gameplay looks fun and there's hope the studio has learned from
Galadriel's mistakes.
