According to Trusted Reviews, the website has received some truly interesting information on
Red Dead Redemption 2. Considering the proof the source of these revelations has provided, this new portion of rumors is rather trustworthy, but take it with a grain of salt, as always.
The documents reveal that the main protagonist's name is Arthur Morgan. The other big character is Dutch Van Der Linde, the leader of the gang and probably the main antagonist of the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2's online component will feature Battle Royale, Revive and Survive and Money Grab modes. We don't know what Battle Royale is for sure, but it's obvious that Rockstar would like to capitalize on Battleground's success. "Revive and Survive pits two teams against each other as they try and stay alive. You’ll have a limited amount of time to revive your teammates before they are eliminated" and Money Grab features two teams fighting for money in a central location.
A companion app is in the works and will be released later this year. The app features social elements and a poker minigame. The players will have a chance to participate in the side activities such as "gold-mining, fishing, herding and an assortment of weapon challenges".
Of course, there will be vehicles, including minecarts, handcarts and horse-drawn carriages, and you can customise them yourself. Railway trains will serve as a fast travel option, they're fully explorable with unique passengers and dialogue.
The game will allow you to change the camera view from the third person to first-person anytime you want. You can expect some Random Events à la GTA V, including bounty hunting quests, treasure hunts and adventures with a mysterious stranger.
A wanted level is displayed at the top of the screen and can increase or decrease depending on how the player acts, just like in the Grand Theft Auto series.
Trusted Reviews received the information last year, but decided to not publish the details until now.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be avaialble on October 26th on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
