Onimusha: Warlords was one of the most seminal games on the PS2 when it launched in 2001. In fact, it became the first PS2 game to reach 1 million units in sales. Initially developed as a Samurai version of Capcom's Resident Evil series, Onimusha relied on the use of swords, shurikens and magic in the fight against demon hordes.

The game follows samurai Samanosuke Akechi in his quest to save princess Yuki from the evil Nobunaga and his demons. The improved visuals on display show that the development team has retained the aethetic of the pre-rendered backgrounds mixed with the hack and slash elements.

Check out the trailer below and let us know if you will be playing the game when it launches next year.
