The Assassin's Creed video game series exceeds twenty instalments (if you count the lesser-known, minor titles such as those for mobile devices) but Ubisoft is taking it right back to the beginning with their latest Uplay offer.
Assassin's Creed II originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2009 and was brought to PC and OS X a year later. You can also get it for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a part of Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection — which released back in 2016.
Assassin's Creed II is largely considered to be the best instalment in the long-running series and is certainly responsible for putting it on the map. Some even consider it one of the best video games ever made. Well, you can now get your hands on it for free (via @UbisoftUplay)!
Currently, Assassin's Creed II is available for free on Uplay. That's Ubisoft's launcher — akin to Steam or Epic Games Store. It's not a premium service or anything, you can truly get Assassin's Creed II entirely for free until Friday, April 17th. That's only two days from now, so act fast!
Despite all the acclaim and whatnot; it's only a 6GB download. All you need is to have the Uplay launcher downloaded. It only takes a couple of clicks. If you start now, you could have Assassin's Creed II up and running on your PC within twenty minutes. Consider this link to the game's official Uplay page a head start.
