Last week, Io Interactive announced that
Hitman 2 has gone gold ahead of its November 13 release date, meaning that the development cycle has been completed, the game is basically finished and ready to be shipped across the planet. The near release date means that WB Games can take their time to properly advertise the upcoming title and the newly-released trailer focuses on Hitman's tools.
During the campaign and a brand new gameplay mode, Sniper Assassin, that's bringing online co-op to the series for the first time as two players will team up for long-ranged sniper-based missions to eliminate targets from afar, players will have a chance to pick some interesting weapons, including exploding phones, ducks, deadly coconuts and even mirrors that will help the player to see the enemies' positions.
The sequel will be a global adventure, allowing gamers to kill targets all around the world, from Colombia, New Zealand, Miami, North Atlantic, Mumbai, to one extra US location titled Skunk. The studio promises to deliver a true sandbox experience as their demo Miami level displays almost 2,000 NPCs at once. Considering
Hitman 2's scope, those levels can be described as mini-campaigns.
Travel the globe and track your targets across exotic sandbox locations in HITMAN 2. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, nowhere is safe from the world’s most creative assassin, Agent 47 in the ultimate spy thriller story.
Hitman 2 will release for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 November 13, 2018.
