IO Interactive's
Hitman 2 will not be coming out for another month, but the developer keeps revealing new and interesting game modes that will definitely add some replay value to the game.
Today, we are introduced to
Hitman 2's Ghost Mode, which will have players competing against each other while hunting down targets simultaneously. Players will begin their mission from the same starting point, same starting time, and same starting target; but they will not be affected by the other player's actions as both will be playing in separate realities.
Players will be able to see the progress of the other player, however, but neither of their actions will affect the other. Targets will be randomly selected and the first player with 5 eliminations wins the match. Another interesting aspect of Ghost Mode is that targets will always be different, so there will never be two matches alike.
In Ghost Mode, all players will begin their mission without any equipment, so they will have to arm themselves with whatever they manage to find and try to figure out how to go from there in order to effectively take down their targets. If they are spotted, kills will not count, however.
