Today saw the release of the first instalment in what will be a series of documentaries named
"The Fall and Rise of Hitman." The documentary series is made by
Noclip and focuses on IO Interactive's seperation from Square Enix. It dives into how the former studio was able to revitalise the
Hitman franchise.
Similarly, a new trailer for some brand new
Hitman 2 content was released. It teases a brand new level which takes place in Siberia.
"Agent 47’s latest long-range mission takes him to one of the harshest climates on the planet, where he must eliminate two targets and start a prison riot to cover his tracks," reads IO's official description.

You can check out both the trailer for the upcoming add-on content and the aformentioned first episode of the documentary series at the bottom of this article.
Back on the topic of that documentary; at one point in the first episode, it's confirmed that IO Interactive are working on a third
Hitman game. However, it might be a while before that hits shelves as they're also working on a brand new IP — which takes priority.
"Earlier this year IO Interactive opened up a new studio across the bridge in Malmo, Sweden. And while much of the team is working on new Hitman content, and looking ahead to the third game, one that IO says may once again go episodic, the majority of the studio in Copenhagen is working on something secret, and rather excitingly, something new."
