During this year's E3, Capcom announced that
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 — two of the most divisive titles in the
Resident Evil franchise — were also going to be making their way onto the Nintendo Switch at some yet-to-be-determined date this Fall.
The Nintendo Switch versions of both
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 provide pretty much the same experience the original games provided, albeit with all of the previously released downloadable content, as well as motion control support; a feature that most fans will definitely appreciate.
Capcom had previously released
Resident Evil Remake,
Resident Evil 0, and
Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo Switch, so the addition of these two titles today gets fans one step closer to owning every title in the Residnet Evil series; that is, of course, if Capcom announces
Resident Evil 2,
Resident Evil 3, and
Resident Evil 7.
Since both
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 became available on the Nintendo Switch eShop today, Capcom has released a launch trailer that shows off the newly added motion controls in action.

While the Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained, a more dangerous threat has emerged. Somewhere in Africa, innocent villagers are transforming into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Featuring online and couch co-op, players can experience this Resident Evil classic as either Chris Redfield or his partner Sheva Alomar, as the duo works together to investigate and stop those responsible for the viral outbreak. Resident Evil 5 releases on Nintendo Switch this Fall.
Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 delivers an epic dramatic horror experience. Resident Evil favorites Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong are joined by new characters, including Jake Muller, to face a new horror, the highly virulent C-virus, as the narrative moves between North America, the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang.
Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 are available for the Nintendo Switch today.
